Authentic Collectables are very proud to be releasing a new limited edition print which celebrates yet another significant milestone in 2019 for Scott McLaughlin and the Shell V-Power Racing Team.
At his home round, the ITM Auckland SuperSprint, Scott McLaughlin scored his 17th and record breaking win of the 2019 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship season which fittingly occurred in his milestone 100th Championship round start. The win broke the record of 16 wins in a season set 23 years prior by Craig Lowndes in 1996 – a record many thought to be unbreakable.
The victory saw McLaughlin break not only the Lowndes record, but also a long-held Team Penske record. The legendary Mark Donohue won 16 races for Team Penske across the 1968 season, which McLaughlin has now eclipsed to create the most-successful season for a Penske driver in the team’s 52-year history.
Now officially taking the title of the most dominant Supercars season to date by any driver, McLaughlin was delighted to break the record at his home event; “I am so stoked to get that done on home soil. We made the car so much better today, my team is just incredible and I am so fortunate to drive for them. Wow. Breaking that Lowndes record is very special, but doing it here in New Zealand makes it even more special. Thank so much to all of the amazing fans out here today, I’m so proud to have gotten it done today.”
Featuring the artwork of Australian designer / illustrator Tristan Groves, the print measures 594mm X 841mm printed on 250gsm matte paper using offset print technology in a limited edition run and will be individually numbered and signed by the artist. This edition features a Pantone gold metallic ink used in the background to give this print an extra special finish.
This is another amazing collector’s print for Scott McLaughlin and DJR Team Penske fans.
When you think of Australian motorsport icons, Dick Johnson is a name that instantly springs to mind. With 5 Australian Touring Car Championships, 3 Bathurst 1000 victories and many other accolades against his name, the 2001 V8 Supercars Hall of Fame inductee is quite simply, a legend.
After narrowly missing out on pole in qualifying, Dick Johnson and co-driver John Bowe beat a host of extremely capable challengers to win the 1989 Tooheys 1000 in their Shell Ultra Hi Sierra. Those challengers included the Eggenberger built and engineered Allan Moffat Sierra’s driven by European stars Klaus Niedzwiedz and Frank Biela, the Nissan Motorsport Australia Skyline HR31 GTS-R, driven by Jim Richards and Mark Skaife as well as pole sitter Peter Brock’s Andy Rouse built Sierra (with Rouse co-driving) who ultimately failed to finish the race.
The win was Johnson’s 2nd Bathurst 1000 victory and the win, along with the esteem in which the #17 DJR Sierra would ultimately be held in by the international motor racing community, instantly locked the car in as a fan favourite and 30 years on, still holds a special place in many peoples hearts.
Authentic Collectables are proud to be releasing this limited edition illustrated print by designer/ illustrator Tristan Groves. Printed on 250gsm matte paper stock using offset print technology, it measures a large 594 X 841mm. This edition features a Pantone gold metallic ink used in the background to give this print an extra special finish. Officially licensed by Dick Johnson Racing, each copy will be individually numbered and signed by Dick Johnson and the artist.
Don’t miss this amazing, official piece of Dick Johnson memorabilia.

Scott McLaughlin’s pole in Race 19 of the 2019 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship at Queensland Raceway was a special one given it was the 100th championship pole for DJR / DJR Team Penske in its history.
The team made its championship debut in the opening round of the 1981 season at Symmons Plains in Tasmania with Dick Johnson at the helm of his famous Tru-Blu Falcon XD, built after the disastrous ‘rock’ incident at Bathurst the year prior.
Johnson claimed his first championship pole position (and first race victory) that weekend, the first of 100 poles for the team, which became DJR Team Penske in 2015.
Fans of the team can now celebrate this historic milestone with this huge limited edition photographic print produced by Authentic Collectables in association with the team at V8 Sleuth.
This is an unbelievable print which features each and every one of the 100 pole position cars in the championship over the course of the history of the team including details about the car, driver, year and race where each pole position was claimed.
Measuring a massive 594mm X 1000mm, this print is 1 metre tall, printed offset in an individually-numbered limited edition on 250gsm matte paper stock and officially licensed by the team.
As an added bonus, we have also been given permission to replicate the ‘100 Poles’ poster that was used by the team to celebrate the achievement at the race which will be included with each print ordered – making this a very special collectable set.
This is the ultimate collector’s print for Dick Johnson Racing / DJR Team Penske and Ford motorsport fans.
